 | Field Trips The club sponsors a dozen or more field trips every year for members to field collect mineral specimens. |
 | Auctions Traditionally, the club sponsors an annual live auction of mineral specimens and mineral-related materials. In addition, the club may sponsor small online auctions periodically, especially when public health emergencies prevent meeting in person. |
 | Rock Swap This annual event gives club members the chance to buy, sell, and trade anything mineral related. |
 | Mineral Competition Every year, the club sponsors a mineral specimen competition, in which members can compete in over a dozen categories to see who has the best specimens. Different categories allow for entries that are self-collected, purchased, or both, and a separate group display category awards creativity and mineral knowledge. |
 | Holiday Party The club meets annually during the winter holiday season to celebrate, socialize, and enjoy mineral-related activities while sharing a meal together. |
 | Other Events The club may sponsor other events or participate in events sponsored by Harvard or other area institutions. |
