The big question on everyone’s mind is, “Who needs to renew?”
You don’t need to renew if:
- You chose a Recurring Payment/Auto-Renew membership when you signed up or last renewed. If so, you’re all set! When the time comes, you’ll be renewed automatically using the method of payment you chose before.
- You have an honorary membership.
You do need to renew if:
- You chose a One-Time Payment/Annual Pay membership when you signed up or last renewed.
Wait…. How can I tell what type of membership I have?
If you’ve forgotten, go to https://bostonmineralclub.org/membership-account/. Log in if you’re not logged in already. In the My Memberships window, you’ll be able to see if you have an Auto-Renew membership. If it doesn’t say Auto-Renew, you have an Annual Pay membership and will need to renew.
How do you renew?
- Go to the Membership Levels page at https://bostonmineralclub.org/membership-account/membership-levels/.
- Scroll down to Choose Your Membership. Click on the type of membership you want.
- The type you already have will show a button that says “Renew.” If you want to keep the same type of membership, click the “Renew” button.
- If you want to change from Family to Individual (or vice versa) or Recurring/Auto-Renew to One-Time Payment/Annual Pay (or vice versa), click the “Select” button next to the option you want.
- You will be taken to the Membership Checkout page.
- If you’re not logged in, the Account Information window will ask for a new Username, Password, and Email Address—ignore those. Instead, at the bottom of that window, where it says “Already have an account?,” click the words “Log in here” just to the right. That will bring you to the login screen, where you can enter the Username and Password you already have, click the “Log In” button, and be brought back to the Membership Checkout page.
- If you’re logged in, just proceed to the next step.
- You’ll see a screen that shows all your membership information and gives you different payment options (at the bottom). If you need to change any of your Membership Information, Family information, etc., you can do so on this screen before you pay for your renewal.
- When you’re done with any changes, scroll down to Payment Type.
- After you’ve selected your Payment Type and clicked the checkbox next to “I Agree” in the Signature box, you will need to select an option for Choose Your Payment Method.
- Choose your payment method and make your payment using the following instructions (click the arrow on the left for the option you want to reveal its instructions):
To Pay with a Credit Card, Debit Card, or PayPal Account: Use Pay with PayPal
- To pay with a credit card, a debit card, or a PayPal account, click the Pay with PayPal button. That option does not require or create a PayPal account, it just uses PayPal’s system to process the payment for us. However, their system will ask you if you want to log into an existing PayPal account or create a new PayPal account during the process, and you can say yes or no. - If you see a checkbox and the words “I’m not a robot,” click the box to checkmark it.
- Click the yellow Check Out With PayPal button and follow the directions that come up to complete your payment.
- You’re done!
To Pay with a Check: Use Pay by Check
- To pay with a check, click the Pay by Check button, which will bring up brief Pay by Check instructions for you to follow.
- If you see a checkbox and the words “I’m not a robot,” click the box to checkmark it
- Click the Submit and Check Out button.
- Write out and mail your check as specified.
- Wait for us to receive your check and activate your membership or renewal.
