DESCRIPTION:If it’s November\, it’s time for the BMC Mineral Specimen Competition and the Election of BMC Officers! \nAll members are welcome to bring in specimens to compete in 20 different categories\, including plenty of categories for field collected specimens\, some for purchased specimens\, one for self-created jewelry or lapidary items\, and two for new collectors and young collectors. \nWhile the judging happens\, we will hear reports from the club Board and conduct our Election of BMC Officers. DESCRIPTION:Club members are invited to participate in a field trip to collect minerals in Maine! \nThis is a special opportunity to collect garnets at the Hedgehog Hill locality in Peru\, Maine.
